The IEEE SSIT Norbert Wiener Award for Social and Professional Responsibility is given annually to recognize an exceptional contribution in the field of social implications of technology. Dr. Madhavan’s 2023 award citation read “For exemplary leadership and outreach on social implications of engineering and technology at the nexus of business, academia and government.”
Dr. Guru Madhavan is the Norman R. Augustine Senior Scholar and Senior Director of Programs at the National Academy of Engineering, Washington, DC, U.S.A.
