Dr Kalyan Sen taught short course in India as Fulbright-Nehru Specialist

Dr Kaylan Sen (PhD, PE (PA & NY), MBA, IEEE Fellow, SSIT Board of Governors Member) had the opportunity to travel to Nirma University, India to teach a short course focused on Power Flow Control Solutions presentations at L. D. College of Engineering and Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar. There was also a national seminar organized on April 2, 2022 where professionals from local universities and utilities were in attendance for a Modern Grid from 28 March – 10 April 2022.

Dr Sen’s lecturers were focused around sharing findings published in Sen K, Sen M (2021), Power Flow Control Solutions for a Modern Grid Using SMART Power Flow Controllers,  IEEE Press and Wiley, 2021, ISBN: 978-1-119-82435-0.

The lecture series over two weeks was attended by over 140 students and 12 faculty members. It was his second Fullbright assignment as a Fulbright-Nehru Specialist.

Dr Sen also presented at L. D. College of Engineering and Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar and during a national seminar organized on April 2, 2022 where professionals from local universities and utilities were in attendance.
