
Joseph Carvalko has won the 2024 white paper prize “To Recognise Excellence In AI Research” for the paper, “Generative AI, Ingenuity, and Law,” published in the June 2024 issue of the IEEE Transactions on Technology and Society. The recognition was given by the Executive Board of the Global AI Ethics Institute, Paris, France.
Carvalko chairs the Technology and Ethics Working Research Group, Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics, Yale University. He is an adjunct professor at Quinnipiac University, School of Law. Carvalko also has served in the past as an Associate Editor for IEEE Technology and Society Magazine.
The Global AI Ethics Institute is comprised of an international team of experts, combining a wide diversity of expertise and backgrounds to foster reflections on AI generally and as applied to culture.
