IEEE SSIT congratulates Kalyan Sen, IEEE SSIT President-Elect, on receiving the 2026 IEEE PES Robert Noberini Distinguished Contributions to Engineering Professionalism Award.
This prestigious IEEE Power and Energy Society award recognizes long-term dedication and outstanding contributions to advancing IEEE professional activities.
The award citation reads:
“For leadership and contributions to professional activities in energy policy, student activities, and life members at the branch, chapter, section, region, and society levels of IEEE and PES.”
Kalyan’s recognition reflects his sustained service to IEEE, IEEE PES, and the broader professional community, including his contributions to energy policy, student engagement, life member activities, and volunteer leadership.
Kalyan is also President-Elect of the IEEE Society on Social Implications of Technology (SSIT), and will serve as President of the Society in 2027-2028.
