Shayna Gersher is a graduate student at the Institute of Political Economy at Carleton University. Her research examines Canada’s role in the emerging global drone industry and the rationalities adopted by government and the private sector to justify their use. As of recently, she has focused on Canada’s regulatory regime for drone integration into domestic airspace. The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and the Ontario Graduate Scholarship fund Shayna’s research.
