George is of Greek-Egyptian background, who was educated at St. George’s College, Ain Shams University, Sadat Academy for Management Sciences, and the London School of Economics and Political Science. He emigrated to Australia in 1989 and worked for Westpac Banking corporation, The University of Sydney and at the University of Wollongong. He holds concurrently visiting professorship appointments at the IAE Université d’Orleans and IESEG Université Catholique de Lille in France. He is also actively involved with professional practice in Australia, Egypt and Europe.
