I am a Reader in Digital Media and Business at the University of Salford. I research within the context of Information Systems. I led at Salford on a current £1.4m Digital Economy Grant as a partner of the collaborative group known as TOTeM (Tales of Things and Electronic Memory.) My work within TOTeM explored the application of digital technology, in this case, Quick Read Codes (QR Codes) and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) to tag items used in commercial concerns on the high street. I also undertake research into leadership in Higher Education and secured funding from the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education to explore the new concept of “Urban and and Edgy” universities. My research publications include books, journal papers, conference papers and book chapters.
