Dr Liz Swan

Liz Swan is a writer interested in how new developments in science and technology impact individuals and society as a whole. She earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of
South Carolina in 2008, and has authored or edited about 30 publications in the cognitive, technical, forensic, and life sciences (as well as other topics). Her new book project, an
anthology titled, “Emerging Technologies in Forensic Science” (in the new Ashgate book series on emerging technologies; Galliott, J., and Michael, K., Eds.) will include an important collection of new forensic techniques that will dramatically change how society approaches crime and criminals. Swan has held teaching positions at several universities in the U.S., including most recently as Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Mercyhurst University in Pennsylvania.
