Dr. Jann Karp BSoc.Sc., MA, PhD is a lecturer in Criminology in the School of Behavioural, Cognitive and Social Science at the University of New England, Armidale, NSW, Australia.
Karp has lectured at a number of institutions including the University of Western Sydney, Charles Sturt University, and the University of Newcastle. Karp spent 23 years in the NSW Police Service, completing her service as a senior constable of police.
Karp has published on a variety of themes, more recently completing her full volume titled: “Truckies: Life Behind The Wheel.” She is fascinated by how technologies, especially tracking technologies like Global Positioning Systems (GPS), are used to monitor both vehicles and drivers respectively.
