Marimuthu’s award was for her work on the Returning Mothers Conference, with a citation reading “in recognition of the impactful Returning Mothers Program that helps reskill professional women on a career hiatus and stay-at-home women for reentry into the workforce in technology fields.”

Marimuthu commented, “When we started, it was just to find out the reasons for the women taking the break and not coming back. We were able to delve deep into the social, economic and cultural factors, various perspectives of industry, academia and social enterprises and the concerns of governments and international forums.”
