Final Paper Submissions Deadline Extension to June 15, 2026 – 2026 International Symposium on Technology and Society (ISTAS)

June 15, 2026 is the final and absolute submission deadline for the 2026 IEEE International Symposium on Technology and Society (ISTAS 2026). No further extensions will be granted beyond this date. We strongly encourage authors who have not yet submitted their papers to do so before the deadline closes.

ISTAS26 brings together engineers, social scientists, policymakers, industry leaders, and community stakeholders to examine the social, ethical, and policy dimensions of technology in the context of sustainable development. The conference takes place from 14 – 16 October at the Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel in Kovalam (Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India). This year’s ISTAS theme is “Sustainable Technologies for Global Development.”

We invite original, unpublished contributions across the following technical tracks:

• Technology for Sustainable Development and Humanitarian Applications
• Social Implications of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data
• Ethics and Human Values in Technology
• Universal Access and Assistive Technologies
• Technology, Policy, and Governance
• Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience Technologies in Coastal Regions

All accepted and presented papers will be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore, subject to compliance with IEEE quality requirements.

Important dates:

• Paper submission deadline (Hard deadline): June 15, 2026
• Notification of acceptance: August 5, 2026
• Camera-ready submission and author registration deadline: September 10, 2026
