Murty Polavarapu, who will assume the Presidency of the IEEE Society on Social Implications of Technology on January 1, 2025, received the IEEE Vice President-Member and Geographic Activities (MGA) Discretionary Award on Saturday November 23, 2024 at Dallas, Texas. This award recognizes his volunteer service to IEEE MGA in various capacities including eight years on the MGA Board.
