Donate Now to Double Your Impact

In an exciting opportunity for SSIT, an anonymous donor has issued a challenge to match SSIT Fund, IEEE Foundation donations dollar for dollar up to US$10,000 by December 31, 2019. Therefore, the impact of these gifts made to SSIT between now and December 31 will be doubled.

The IEEE Society on Social Implications of Technology is an interdisciplinary global community. It provides a forum for experts across the technological landscape to share perspectives and insights. Further, it helps build public awareness of the impact of technological advancements on our world.

SSIT has identified five areas of focus for the Society:

  •     Sustainable Development
  •     Ethics/Human Values
  •     Universal Access to Technology
  •     Societal Impacts
  •     Protecting the Environment

SSIT seeks increased financial support to advance these goals. Increased resources will allow SSIT to invest in supporting volunteers committed to contributing to these important activities through vehicles such as the SSIT Standards Committee, Chapter development, a membership drive, and the planned 2020 launch of IEEE Transactions on Technology and Society.

Donors who choose to give at a leadership level of US$200 or more will receive an IEEE SSIT pin to recognize their dedication and generosity.
