Ever since the onset of COVID-19, our daily life has witnessed revolutionary changes. Major corporates have fallen, newer lifestyles have been adopted, and society has undergone a complete reset, clearing the path for new ventures. In this great reset, technology has proven to be the foreman to lead society ahead and out of this pandemic. Mr. Satish Babu discusses how technology would evolve and help the world reshape itself for the era ahead. He examines the SSIT Pillars through the prism of the social changes due to COVID-19.

Speaker

Mr. Satish Babu is a Free Software activist, an early Internet advocate, and a development professional based out of Kerala, India. He is the founding Director of the International Centre for Free and Open Source Software (ICFOSS), an autonomous academic/research institution of the Government of Kerala, India, where he worked from March 2011 to September 2015. He was earlier the CEO of SIFFS, an NGO of small-scale artisanal fishers of south India; a co-founder and President of InApp Information Technologies; and is associated with international and national professional societies such as IEEE, Internet Society (ISOC), ICANN, and the Computer Society of India (CSI).
