Session 2: Digital Divide and Sustainability: Who Gets Left Out of “Green Tech” Solutions
This session will examine how access to green technologies often favors the digitally privileged, reinforcing existing social, racial, and economic inequalities. It highlights the risk of green tech unintentionally widening the digital divide and emphasizes the ethical responsibility of governments and companies to ensure equitable access. Proposed solutions will include public investment, inclusive design, education, communication, and policies focused on digital and environmental justice.
