Norbert Wiener The IEEE SSIT Norbert Wiener Award for Social and Professional Responsibility recognises an exceptional contribution or outstanding career by an individual or team of up to three members in the field of the social implications of technology.
Dr Moshe Vardi was presented with the SSIT Norbert Weiner Award as the 22nd receipient “for
leadership in raising awareness on adverse societal consequences of computing and communication
technologies”.
The award was presented by Prof. Clint Andrews, SSIT President on 22 July during the IEEE 3rd
Conference on Norbert Wiener in the 21st Century, which took place as a virtual event.
